Aston Martin F1 Team announces signing of Sebastian Vettel

The German Sebastian Vettel, four times Formula One world champion, will race next season with the Aston Martin F1 Team, previously Racing point, as confirmed this Thursday by the British team in a statement. Vettel, whose steering wheel in Ferrari will be occupied next season by the Madrid Carlos Sainz, will replace the Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez, who the day before had announced that he would leave the British team.

“Ahead of Aston Martin’s long-awaited return to the Formula 1 grid in 2021, we are delighted to confirm that four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has signed up to join the team,” said the statement from the Aston Martin F1 Team.

Sebastian Vettel won four consecutive world titles with Red bull racing between 2010 and 2013 and multiple Grand Prix victories with Ferrari in later years.
