Appeal keeps Modric’s yellow against Celta

The Appeal Committee has confirmed in their meeting this Wednesday the yellow card that the Croatian saw Luka modric, midfielder of Real Madrid, in the match against Celta in Bullets prior to the national team stoppage

Appeal dismissed the appeal filed by the Real Madrid and confirmed the agreement of Competition Committee, which in turn had rejected the allegations of the white club on March 24.

The Real Madrid wielded that Modric did not knock down an opponent in the dispute for a ball, but it was the opponent who hit after the Croatian made a pass to his teammate Lucas Vázquez, but the members of the Appeal “unanimously” consider that the videographic evidence provided by the Madrid club “is not enough to disprove the presumption of veracity of the record, and that it corroborates and adjusts to the referee’s account” and that it “reveals the existence of contact between both players at the launch of the game at that one refers to ”.

Therefore, “being the images compatible with what is reflected in the minutes, not being able to appreciate a manifest material error, this Appeal Committee it must necessarily dismiss the present appeal ”.
