Alpine promises improvements for the Imola GP on April 18

Alpine prepare an upgrade package for Imola focused on the rear of the car, following this year’s rule changes for that area. Thanks to these new parts, they hope and promise to have more performance in the second race of the year, scheduled for April 18th.

The team of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon did not start 2021 on the right foot. None of the pilots could score points in the opening event. However, far from paralyzing them, this has put them to work to reduce their deficit for the next race.

Thus, the CEO of Alpine, Marcin budkowski, announces that they will have a new upgrade pack for Imola. The plan is to bring new parts to these first races to give the car more performance. The area they have focused on to improve the car is the rear, which has changed this year to control downforce levels.

“There is an area that has changed in the regulations, which is a development area at the moment. Obviously it is the side of the floor and the diffuser. We did some test work and some in Bahrain and I have no doubt that we will do more work in the next races, everyone will do it too. It is an area that will change, ”Budkowski assured in statements published by the web portal‘ Race Fans ’and included in the portal‘ soymotor.com ’.

“We have a pretty respectable upgrade package for Imola, so we are going to have more parts and more performance on the car at Imola. In general, to the first races of the season, we are going to bring some new parts ”, concludes Budkowski
