A sandstorm ‘engulfs’ a city in northern China

The city of Bayannur, located in Inner Mongolia, north of China, was hit by a great sandstorm which lasted for more than 40 minutes.

Citizens who walked through the streets were surprised and many of them ran for shelter when they saw this common meteorological phenomenon in desert and arid areas.

In the videos shared on social networks you can see perfectly how the large cloud of sand and dust it enters the city of Bayannur, making it difficult for those on the street to see.

This great sandstorm flooded the town for many minutes and even dyed it a dark reddish color, almost like it was an apocalyptic movie. In fact, visibility was reduced at about 50 meters for almost an hour.
