The UEFA has announced the referee in charge of directing the Champions League quarter-final match between the Atlético de Madrid and RB Leipzig which will be played on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. at the José Alvalade in Lisbon.
Is about Szymon Marciniak. The 39-year-old Polish referee will be helped on the wings by his compatriots Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz, and in the VAR by Pawel gil. The fourth official will be the Greek Tasos Sidiropoulos.
Szymon Marciniak has extensive experience in international soccer. The last match he led Atlético was recent, in February, the first leg of the round of 16 against the Liverpool in the Metropolitano, a clash that ended 1-0 for the rojiblancos.
