A Covid outbreak forces PSG to temporarily close its training center

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced this Wednesday that it is temporarily closing its training center due to “several cases” of Covid-19 detected this week, according to the club, a decision that does not affect the main team.

The center, where the boys and girls who play in the lower categories of the team train, will be closed for now until March 22.

Another batch of tests is scheduled for Friday at the facilities to monitor this outbreak of contagion.

It is the second time in a month and a half that the Parisian club has been forced to close its training centers due to the virus after the closure in early February.

The PSG women’s team also suffered a covid outbreak last week due to the positive of three of its players -Sandy Baltimore, Bénedicte Simon and Charlotte Voll- which forced postponement of the league match against Lyon, scheduled for March 13 and considered crucial for the outcome of the championship.
